Gold coat aluminum coil specification and price

September 30, 2020

A gold coat aluminum coil is also known as gold aluminum coil, obtained by the process of color coating or anodizing. The thickness is usually between 0.1mm and 3mm thick, mostly around 1mm thick in practice. The width is up to 1600mm, and minimum width can be customized, for even strips are available for decoration and channel letters. The width error is around 0.1mm, and the bur error is less than 0.02mm. Alloys for both color aluminum coil and anodized aluminum coil of the gold color are similar: 1xxx, 3xxx, 5xxx and 6xxx series.

In most cases, the first three series are capable enough to meet regular application requirements in most fields. 1xxx series include 1060, 1070 and 1100. These can be either color coated or anodized with the color of gold. The difference of the two types of aluminum coil rolls lies in surface layer properties and reflectivity. Color coated aluminum coil rolls, with a coating layer of PE or PVDF paint (Clients are expected to name the paint, coating thickness and coating side before placing an order), has good corrosion resistance but weaker hardness than anodized aluminum coil, the anodizing film of which is harder, stronger and more durable. In addition, anodized gold aluminum coil is usually more efficient in reflectivity, and it can even be made into mirror aluminium coil if needed. The application fields of the two differ a lot, too. Anodized gold coat aluminum coil can be used in conditions requiring reflectivity, such as solar panels, lamps, cameras etc.

As for price, anodized gold aluminum coil proves to be more expensive, for the anodizing process costs more than color coating process. As a 20-year aluminum coil supplier, Haomei supplies aluminium coil rolls of gold and other colors. Welcome to contact us at april@aluminumhm.com for a price!
