Aluminum 3D Channel Letter Coil

July 13, 2026

The core difference between 3D signage and flat channel letters lies in the greater facade depth, more continuous curved transitions, and higher requirements for the overall three-dimensional outline. This places more stringent demands on the plastic forming ability, thickness uniformity, and surface flatness of the aluminum channel letter coil material. Haomei Aluminum has launched dedicated aluminum coil for 3D channel letters processing, providing stable cutting and bending substrates for global 3D signage manufacturers through precise material conditioning and tolerance control.

3D Channel Letter Coil

The substrate of 3D channel letter coil uses 1100-O and 3003-O tempered soft aluminum alloys. After a complete annealing process, the material elongation can reach over 30%, and the tensile strength is controlled within the range of 90-130MPa, possessing excellent deep drawing and continuous bending forming capabilities. For 3D channel letters, which often features deep facades, large-radius arcs, and multi-faceted angles, aluminum channel letter coils can withstand continuous plastic deformation in multiple directions without work hardening cracking. They exhibit low springback after forming, maintaining high consistency in facade verticality and arc roundness, effectively reducing post-processing manual correction and improving the overall precision and appearance consistency of the finished 3D lettering.

Thickness uniformity is a key indicator for ensuring the flatness of 3D letter facades. Haomei’s 3D channel letter aluminum coils are produced using a high-precision cold-rolling process, with thickness tolerances strictly controlled within ±0.02mm and flatness ≤2I. After uncoiling, there are no obvious wavy or warped defects. After CNC leveling and shearing, the material can be directly processed by automatic letter bending equipment. The force is uniform along the facade height direction, preventing bending radius drift or facade distortion due to thickness deviations. This makes it particularly suitable for mass production of deep 3D lettering over 100mm in height and extra-large 3D signs.

In terms of surface treatment, aluminum 3D channel letter coil offers a variety of surface solutions, including polyester coating, PVDF fluorocarbon coating, and anodizing. The coating adhesion meets a Class 0 standard, with no paint peeling or exposed substrate after deep bending and stamping. Standard colors cover mainstream signage colors such as black, white, gray, and silver, and Pantone color customization is also supported. The color difference across all batches is ΔE ≤ 2.0, meeting the color standardization requirements of chain brand 3D signage. For high-end 3D lettering projects requiring a metallic finish, pre-treated aluminum coils with brushed or mirror finishes are available, allowing for direct assembly without additional finishing processes.

In terms of specifications, the standard thickness range for 3D channel letter aluminum coils is 0.6mm-1.5mm, catering to different facade heights and structural strength requirements; the coil width ranges from 1000mm-1500mm, and the slitting width can be customized according to the customer’s facade height to reduce material cutting waste. A single coil can weigh 2-3 tons, supporting large-scale continuous production and minimizing downtime for roll changes. The standard inner diameter is 505mm for paper or steel cores, compatible with mainstream uncoiling equipment in the industry. Customized roll diameters and packaging methods are available upon request.

For export customers, all aluminum 3D channel letter coils are packaged on vertical wooden pallets and fully sealed with an outer moisture-proof PE film, suitable for ocean container shipping. The factory maintains sufficient inventory of basic specifications, and regular orders can be delivered within 10 working days. Flexible production scheduling is supported for customized coatings and slitting specifications. The company provides a complete set of material certificates and export documents, compatible with FOB, CIF, and other trade terms, and has provided stable supply to 3D sign manufacturers in many countries worldwide.
