Surface treatment methods for aluminum stucco sheets

September 9, 2020

Surface treatment methods for an aluminum stucco sheet include mill finish, anodizing and color coating. Each has its own functions and applications.

Mill finish stucco embossed aluminium sheets have no extra treatment for the surface. This method is applied to stucco sheets for general uses, like fridge inner wall cladding, air conditioners, heat sinks, pipe insulation etc. The thickness ranges between 0.2mm and 1.0mm, and width can be customized. Unique patterns of stucco, also known as orange peel, shows an excellent thermal preservation function in pipe wrapping.

Anodized stucco embossed sheets suppliers have the sheets anodized for application purposes of higher requirements in surface quality and service life of the sheets. The application scope of anodized stucco aluminium sheets might overlap with that of mill finish sheets. In comparison, anodized sheets are more resistant to water, moisture, corrosion, scratches and extreme temperatures, and therefore last much longer in various conditions.

A coated stucco textured aluminum sheet is usually used for roofing and decorative purposes. Alloys include 1100 and 3003. The key differences between the two are corrosion resistance and hardness. 3003 is one fifth harder than 1100 and more corrosion resistant. Both PE and PVDF coating processes are available. Most of the time, PE is enough for embossed roofing sheets.
