3D Advertising Signs Aluminum Channel Letter Strip

July 20, 2026

3D channel letters, as the mainstream form of global commercial signage, rely heavily on the machine compatibility of the edging material for efficient mass production. Haomei Aluminum’s 3D advertising aluminum channel letter strip is a pre-finished slitting aluminum material specifically developed for automatic letter bending machines. Customers do not need to uncoil and slit the strip themselves; it is ready to use immediately after unpacking. This design aims to help signage factories reduce pre-processing steps, minimize material waste, and improve the overall output efficiency of 3D illuminated letter production lines.

Dimensional accuracy is the core quality control indicator for channel letter aluminum strips. Haomei 3D advertising aluminum channel letter strips are produced using a precision slitting process, with width tolerance strictly controlled within ±0.1mm, side burr height ≤0.03mm, and parallelism deviation of the two sides of the strip not exceeding 0.05mm/m. High-precision dimensional consistency ensures uniform feeding resistance after the aluminum strip is fed into the bending machine, resulting in stable folding angles and curved surface dimensions. The vertical height of characters from the same batch is completely consistent, allowing for direct assembly without subsequent grinding or trimming, effectively reducing post-processing costs. The aluminum strip’s flatness is controlled within 2I, with no side bending or waviness after uncoiling, making it suitable for the continuous feeding requirements of high-speed fully automatic bending equipment.

Regarding material forming performance, the channel letter aluminum strip substrate uses 1100-O and 3003-O tempered soft aluminum alloys, undergoing complete recrystallization annealing treatment. The material elongation is ≥30%, and the tensile strength is 90-130MPa. This hardness range is optimized for the bending process: ensuring sufficient plasticity for small-radius inward folds and deep curved surface forming without cracks or orange peel texture at the bends; while maintaining appropriate rigidity, ensuring the 3D letters facade is straight and not slumped, resulting in a strong three-dimensional overall outline after assembly. The springback during forming is controlled within 2° through process adjustment. The bending machine’s compensation parameters are simple to set, resulting in high consistency in font size during mass production. This makes it particularly suitable for the mass delivery of standardized 3D lettering for chain brands.

The surface coating can be selected from polyester (PE) or fluorocarbon (PVDF) options, prepared using a continuous roll coating process. The coating adhesion reaches grade 0, and no paint film peeling was observed during T-bend testing. More than ten commonly used colors in the signage industry, including black, white, silver, red, and blue, are readily available, with a color difference ΔE ≤ 2.0 across all batches. Pantone color customization is supported. For harsh outdoor scenarios such as coastal areas and high UV radiation, the PVDF coating version offers a weather resistance warranty of over 10 years, meeting the long-term usage requirements of high-end commercial complexes and municipal signage projects.

Regarding supply specifications, aluminum strip thicknesses typically range from 0.5mm to 1.2mm, and finished product widths range from 30mm to 150mm. Common facade height specifications such as 50mm, 70mm, 80mm, and 100mm are always in stock. Strip material is supplied in coils, with standard inner diameters of 300mm or 505mm, and a net weight of 50-150kg per coil, compatible with mainstream bending machine rack sizes. Each coil is individually wrapped in PE film, with outer paper corner protectors and a moisture-proof film to prevent side impacts and surface scratches during transportation.

For global export customers, Haomei Aluminum offers flexible customization services: custom slitting to customer-preferred widths, specified coil weights and inner diameters, and matching protective films for printed surfaces are available. The factory maintains ample stock of master coils, with standard specifications shipped within 7 business days. Small-batch trial orders and sample shipments are supported. A complete set of material certificates and export documents are available, accommodating various trade terms such as FOB and CIF.
