PVDF Coated Aluminum Roofing Sheet

September 15, 2025

PVDF aluminum roofing sheets are a building material made from an aluminum alloy base coated with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resin. The PVDF coating offers excellent weather, corrosion, and chemical resistance, making it suitable for roofing and exterior wall decoration in a variety of harsh environments.

Specifications of PVDF Coated Roofing Sheet:

– Aluminum Alloy Type:

Common aluminum alloy types include 1060, 1100, 3003, 3004 and 5052. The specific choice depends on the strength and corrosion resistance requirements.

– Coating Thickness:

PVDF coating thickness is generally 25μm to 30μm, which can be adjusted according to customer needs.

– Surface Finish:

PVDF coatings typically have different gloss levels (such as matte, semi-gloss, and high gloss).

A variety of colors and surface effects (such as metallic and wood grain effects) are available.

– Thickness:

Generally between 0.25mm and 0.5mm, such as 0.25mm, 0.3mm, 0.35mm, 0.4mm, 0.45mm, and 0.5mm.

– Width:

Available in various sizes, including 1000mm, 1220mm, 1250mm, and 1500mm.

– Length:

Customizable upon request. The most common standard length is 2440mm, with lengths up to 5800mm and longer also available.

– Dimensions:

Common aluminum roofing sheet sizes include 1220 mm x 2440 mm and 1250 mm x 3000 mm.

Features of PVDF Aluminum Roofing Sheet:

– Excellent Weather Resistance:

The PVDF coating has a compact molecular structure. After high-temperature baking, the panels remain resistant to noticeable fading for 15 to 20 years, withstanding harsh environments and suitable for buildings requiring high weather resistance.

– Excellent Corrosion Resistance:

Its excellent acid and alkali resistance allows it to withstand corrosion from acid rain and salt spray, extending the service life of the panels.

– Various Colors:

PVDF aluminum roofing sheets are available in a variety of colors and finishes to meet diverse design needs.

– Excellent Physical Properties:

It combines lightweight, high strength, and high rigidity with excellent impact resistance, surface flatness, and smoothness. It also offers certain thermal, sound, and fire insulation properties.

– Good Processability:

It is easy to cut, bend, and form into various shapes according to design requirements. It is also easy to install, improving construction efficiency.

Applications of PVDF Roofing Sheets:

– Large public buildings, such as airport terminals, train stations, stadiums, and convention and exhibition centers, meet the high-performance requirements of these types of roofing materials due to their excellent weather resistance and elegant appearance.

– Commercial buildings, such as shopping malls, office buildings, and hotels, offer diverse exterior designs while ensuring durability and practicality.

– Industrial buildings: Suitable for roofing in industrial buildings such as factories and plants, offering resistance to corrosive media in industrial environments and low maintenance costs.

– Residential buildings: Suitable for use in some high-end residences and villas, enhancing the quality and aesthetics of residential buildings.

The service life of PVDF aluminum roof sheets is affected by a variety of factors, including material properties, construction quality, operating environment, and maintenance. Under ideal conditions, using high-quality materials, standardized construction methods, a mild environment, and regular maintenance, PVDF aluminum roof sheets can have a service life of 40-50 years, similar to the lifespan of the building’s main structure. Generally, using conventional materials, qualified construction methods, and operating in normal environments, the service life is approximately 20-30 years.
