36 wide aluminum coil stock can be of 0.008’’, 0.01’’, 0.02’’, 0.03’’, 0.05’’, 0.1’’, 0.2’’ and up to 0.3’’’ thick. Any thickness between this range can be produced. Processing methods for those rolls include cast rolling and hot rolling, and regular alloys 1050, 1060, 3003, 5052, 5083, 5754 and 6061. As the most frequently applied alloys of 1xxx aluminium coil stocks, 1050 and 1060 share similar mechanical properties, chemical properties and composition, with the latter containing a 0.1% more aluminium content. 1050 and 1060 aluminium grades are weak in hardness, high in plasticity, good in conductivity, adaptable to kinds of welding methods, simple in process, low in price and wide in application. Annealing states for them incorporate F, O, H12, H14, H16, H18, H22, H24, H26 and H28. In spite of similarities above, the two differs slightly in application. 1050 aluminium coil is applied in ctp ps printing plates, composite sheets, lamps, batteries etc, and 1060 aluminum coil in power battery soft connections, composite sheets, lamps and sign panels.

3003 aluminum coil serves as a representative of 3xxx for 36 wide aluminum coil stock. A 3% to 5% content of magnesium endows 3003 with a much better corrosion resistance than 1050 and 1060. Like 1xxx alu rolls, 3003 can not be heat treated, thus its mechanical properties can only be improved in a limited scope. Of F, O, H12, H14, H16, H18, H22, H24, H26 and H28 states, 3003 is further processed into battery shells, lighting units, decoration panels, bottle caps for various packaging and so on.

5xxx 36’’ wide aluminum coil stocks include 5052, 5083 and 5754 alloys. These are even harder than 3003 and stronger in corrosion resistance, too. In particular, they display an excellent application effect in marine conditions, withstanding salty atmosphere well. As a result, 5xxx aluminium alloy sheets and rolls are also known as regular products for shipbuilding. In practice, however, only 5083 has the best performances. The three share similar scope in application. In addition to shipbuilding, they are also used in flooring and wall cladding of vehicles and trains, small parts that need to carry weight to a certain degree, molds, tank skins etc, in type of aluminium tread plates, coated sheets and anodized sheets.

6061 stands out from all these alloys for 36 wide aluminum coil stock in either hardness and application effect. Containing both silicon and magnesium, 6061 is hard enough itself even before being further hardened by hot treatment. It’s also the only alloy of those mentioned suitable for heat treatment. Tempers include F, O, T4, T6, T651 etc. Ordinary thickness for 6061 aluminium coil stock ranges between 0.4mm and 2.5mm. The coil is flexible in treatment methods, meeting requirements for anodizing, color coating, sharp bending and embossing, serving as a hard and durable material in electronic, light industrial and auto fields.
