Aluminum Roofing Coil Price (USD)

September 28, 2026

Aluminum roofing coils are essential materials for steel-structure roofing, roof renovation, and waterproofing projects; buyers typically use the US dollar as the settlement currency. Aluminum roofing coil price is not fixed; they fluctuate dynamically based on alloy grade, thickness, width, surface treatment, order volume, shipping costs, and the benchmark price of aluminum ingots. Buyers should evaluate the total procurement cost by considering specific project parameters.

The mainstream alloys for roofing aluminum coils are the 3003, 3004, and 3105 series. These aluminum alloys offer excellent weather resistance and formability, making them suitable for bending and roll-forming processes. Thicknesses typically range from 0.4 mm to 1.2 mm, with standard coil widths of 1000 mm and 1220 mm; the weight per linear meter varies linearly with thickness. The base USD price for uncoated, as-rolled roofing aluminum coils is calculated using the LME (London Metal Exchange) aluminum price plus a rolling processing fee. Pre-painted aluminum coils with PVDF fluorocarbon coatings command a higher premium; the coating system determines outdoor service life, with PVDF coatings ensuring over 20 years of outdoor durability, whereas polyester (PE) coatings are generally used for short-term roofing projects.

Based on current market conditions, the ex-factory price range for 0.7mm thick 3105 roofing aluminum coils (bare/mill finish) is 2,450–2,700 USD/MT; PE color-coated aluminum coils of the same specification are quoted at 2,750–3,000 USD/MT, while PVDF fluorocarbon-coated versions are quoted at 3,050–3,400 USD/MT. These are FOB prices, excluding ocean freight, insurance, and destination port customs clearance fees. Order volume directly impacts the unit price: full-container purchases (over 25 MT) qualify for a discount of 60–120 USD/MT, whereas small-batch orders incur higher processing and roll-change costs, leading to a significant increase in unit price.

Years of experience in supplying overseas roofing materials show that many buyers focus solely on the quoted unit price while overlooking material waste rates and long-term maintenance costs. Insufficient material ductility during the roll-forming process can result in waste. The 3004 aluminum alloy offers higher strength and superior dent resistance compared to 3105 aluminum ; for overseas projects in regions prone to heavy rain and hail, aluminum 3004 is the preferred choice. Although the initial procurement cost is slightly higher, the long-term cost of roof replacement is significantly reduced. In one Southeast Asian renovation project, low-cost, thin-gauge aluminum coils showed oxidation and fading after four years of use; a subsequent project switched to 3004 PVDF-coated aluminum roofing coils, effectively controlling the total lifecycle cost.

Fluctuations in raw material prices are the primary driver of changes in USD quotes. As LME aluminum prices fluctuate daily, manufacturer quotes typically remain valid for only 3–7 days. Additional costs include coil packaging, wooden cores, and slitting fees, with extra charges applied for custom widths or special protective films. Delivery timelines also affect pricing, as expedited orders incur additional production scheduling costs.

As a primary manufacturer of roofing aluminum coils, Haomei Aluminum offers customization of alloy, thickness, coating, and inner coil diameter to meet specific project requirements. All roofing aluminum coils are supplied with material certification and support third-party inspection. Overseas procurement clients can obtain precise USD quotes simply by providing material specifications, order tonnage, and destination port details; sample testing is also available to mitigate material selection risks for the project.
