Painted Aluminum Sheets For Gutters and Downpipes

March 31, 2026

As a professional exporter of aluminum sheets, we have developed painted aluminum sheets specifically for gutter and downpipe applications. Using high-quality aluminum alloys as a base and rigorous processes as support, our sheets are precisely adapted to the drainage needs of various buildings worldwide, balancing durability and adaptability, making them the preferred consumable material for overseas building drainage systems.

Precise alloy selection and flexible specification customization cater to diverse installation requirements of gutters and downpipes. We prioritize 3003 aluminum-manganese alloy and 5052 aluminum-magnesium alloy as base materials. The 3003 series aluminum-manganese alloy combines excellent corrosion resistance and formability, suitable for most conventional drainage scenarios, while the 5052 series aluminum-magnesium alloy offers higher strength and outstanding salt spray resistance, specifically designed for highly corrosive coastal areas. The specifications strictly adhere to the new YS/T 431-2025 standard, with thicknesses ranging from 0.5-1.2mm (0.5mm±0.02mm is commonly used for downpipes, and 0.7mm±0.02mm for gutters), widths from 1000-1250mm, and lengths customizable to customer needs. U-shaped, rectangular gutters, and circular downpipes can also be pressed into various shapes to suit different building drainage design dimensions.

The coating process is rigorous, offering a rich selection of colors while balancing durability and aesthetics. The coating utilizes the industry-leading two-coat, two-bake roller coating process, offering three coating options: PE polyester, SMP silicone-modified polyester, and PVDF fluorocarbon.

The PE coating offers excellent cost-effectiveness and is suitable for temperate regions.

The SMP coating boasts superior weather resistance and is suitable for industrial buildings.

The PVDF coating (fluorine content ≥60%) offers 20-30 years of weather resistance and can withstand acid, alkali, and salt spray corrosion, specifically designed for coastal and high-UV areas.

Colors are compatible with the entire RAL color family, supporting customized matte, high-gloss, and other gloss levels. It boasts strong fade resistance and can precisely adapt to various overseas architectural styles. The coating also meets environmental VOC limits, aligning with the global “dual-carbon” trend.

The scientifically designed structure highlights core features, showcasing the product’s core competitiveness. Aluminum gutter coil employs a multi-layered composite structure of “substrate + chemical conversion layer + primer + topcoat.” The conversion layer enhances coating adhesion, the primer strengthens corrosion resistance, and the topcoat ensures both decorative and protective effects. Adhesion reaches level 1 or higher, passing tests such as T-bend and cross-cut adhesion, meeting international standards. Painted aluminum sheet coil product also features lightweight (density only 2.7g/cm³, approximately 1/3 the weight of steel), easy processing, and environmental recyclability. No complex installation equipment is required; it can be cut and bent on-site, eliminating the risk of rust and extending its service life by more than 50% compared to traditional materials.

Painted aluminum sheet offers exceptional adaptability and significant advantages, perfectly matching gutters and downpipe applications. When used in gutters, its smooth surface prevents dirt accumulation, ensures smooth drainage, and resists water immersion and silt abrasion, preventing blockages and corrosion. When used in downpipes, its lightweight nature facilitates high-altitude installation, it boasts strong wind load resistance, and its coating is resistant to rain erosion, requiring minimal maintenance. Compared to other materials, our painted aluminum gutter coil products are adaptable to diverse overseas climates, maintaining stable performance from tropical hot and humid regions to temperate rainy and snowy areas. They also comply with US AAMA1405.1 and European EN standards, successfully passing various export inspections.

As a seasoned exporter, we control product quality throughout the entire process, from alloy selection to coating processing, ensuring compliance with the latest international and domestic standards. We offer customized solutions and comprehensive export testing reports, helping overseas clients reduce installation and maintenance costs and providing safe, durable, and aesthetically pleasing high-quality painted aluminum sheets for global building drainage systems.
