As the sales manager for Haomei Aluminum, I have handled gutter aluminum coil orders from over 50 countries worldwide. I deeply understand the crucial role of 5 inch gutter systems in drainage for residential and commercial buildings. Today, I will introduce our 5 inch aluminum gutter coils in detail. From alloy selection to coating processes, every aspect is optimized based on 20 years of export experience, ensuring compatibility with diverse climates and standards globally.

Regarding the core alloy, we resolutely choose 3003/H24 aluminum-manganese alloy as the base material. This is our proven, high-quality material for gutters, validated in multiple global markets, rather than cheaper pure aluminum or ordinary aluminum alloys available on the market. This alloy contains 1.0-1.5% manganese. After H24 tempering, its tensile strength reaches 120-140 MPa, yield strength is no less than 100 MPa, and elongation remains above 12%, perfectly balancing formability and structural strength. It easily adapts to mainstream K-type and semi-circular gutter forming machines worldwide and can withstand the extreme environmental challenges of different regions.
Why choose other alloys? 3003 alloy forms a dense oxide film in humid environments, offering three times the corrosion resistance of pure aluminum. In coastal salt spray environments (such as Southeast Asia and the west coast of North America), industrial acid rain environments (such as Central Europe and the Yangtze River Delta export region of China), and high-temperature and high-humidity environments (such as the Middle East and tropical South America), it forms a dense oxide film, effectively preventing pitting and rust. Compared to high-magnesium alloys such as 5052, it not only has a cost advantage but also superior weldability, meeting the seamless splicing requirements of construction sites worldwide. This is one of the core reasons why our products have established a foothold in the global market.
A 5-inch gutter refers to an effective drainage width of 127mm (5×25.4mm) after molding. Our aluminum gutter coils are optimized to a width of 11.875 inches (301.6mm) based on the molding process, matching mainstream K-type and semi-circular gutter forming machines. Two export standard thicknesses are available:
– Standard 0.027 inches (0.686mm): Suitable for typical residential buildings, a single coil can cover approximately 1,200 square feet of roof drainage.
– Reinforced 0.032 inches (0.813mm): Designed for regions with high snowfall, offering 30% improved deformation resistance.
The coil diameter is uniformly 1500mm, with a single coil weight controlled within 2.5 tons, ensuring production efficiency while complying with international shipping container loading standards, reducing customer transportation costs.
Custom lengths are supported, up to 60 meters, reducing on-site joints and improving waterproofing performance.
The coating is the core of the weather resistance of the gutter aluminum coil. We use a three-coat, two-baking roller coating process, unlike the common two-coat, one-baking process on the market. The coating adhesion reaches level 0 (cross-cut test), and it passes a 1000-hour salt spray test without blistering or peeling. We offer two mainstream export coating options:
High-weather-resistant polyester (HDPE) coating, 25-30μm thick, with a weather resistance life of up to 15 years, excellent cost-effectiveness, rich colors, suitable for temperate and subtropical regions.
Fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating, 30-35μm thick, with a weather resistance life of over 20 years, able to withstand extreme temperatures from -40℃ to 120℃, excellent UV resistance and fade resistance, specifically designed for tropical, coastal, and high-UV regions.
All coatings have passed global authoritative environmental testing by SGS, BV, and other organizations.
We offer 28 standard colors, covering popular North American colors such as ivory white, tan, and dark gray; European preferences such as sandstone and forest green; and the metallic silver-gray popular in the Middle East. Using imported German pigments, color difference is controlled within ΔE ≤ 1.0, ensuring color consistency between batches.
– Lightweight and High-Efficiency:
Aluminum has a density of only 2.7g/cm³, one-third that of steel. A single roll can be handled by two people, increasing installation efficiency by 40% and reducing labor costs. North American customers report that using Haomei aluminum coils shortens installation time by 30% compared to steel.
– Zero-Maintenance Lifespan:
Under normal use, no repainting or anti-corrosion treatment is required. Its lifespan reaches 20+ years, far exceeding PVC (5-8 years) and galvanized steel (8-12 years).
– 100% Recyclable:
Complies with the EU WEEE Directive and North American environmental standards. Recycling value reaches 85% of the raw materials, helping customer projects obtain green certification.
20 years of export experience tells us that the value of gutter aluminum coils lies not only in the material itself, but also in their adaptability to local climates, standards, and construction practices. Currently, Haomei exports over 8,000 tons of 5 inch gutter aluminum coils annually, serving over 2,00 customers worldwide, and has maintained a zero-quality complaint record for five consecutive years. Choosing Haomei means not only obtaining high-quality aluminum gutter coils, but also enjoying customized technical support and a stable supply.
