1050 H14 Aluminum Sheet

October 26, 2026

The 1050 H14 aluminum sheet is the most widely used semi-hard product within the 1xxx series of industrial pure aluminum. With a base aluminum purity of 99.5%, it offers an optimal balance of electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, formability, and strength. Aluminum sheet 1050 serves as a versatile, foundational material for decorative projects, electronics, electrical applications, and hardware stamping. As a professional aluminum sheet supplier, our long-term supply data indicates that this grade—thanks to its consistent batch-to-batch performance and broad process adaptability—is one of the most frequently reordered pure aluminum products for small-to-medium-scale international orders.

Precise control over chemical composition is the fundamental guarantee of consistent product performance. The 1050 alloy is produced in strict accordance with the ASTM B209 standard: aluminum content is ≥99.50%, iron is ≤0.40%, silicon is ≤0.25%, and other impurities—such as copper, manganese, and magnesium—are kept below 0.05%. This exceptionally low impurity level minimizes grain boundary segregation, preventing defects such as localized color variations or dark spots during subsequent surface treatments. According to client feedback, when subjected to identical processing, 1050 aluminum sheets exhibit superior color uniformity after brushing and anodizing. This results in a reduction of the defect rate by approximately 6%, making the material highly suitable for decorative applications that demand a high-quality aesthetic finish.

The H14 half-hard temper achieves its specified properties through work hardening via cold rolling, a process offering high controllability. This temper is attained through approximately 50% cold-rolling deformation, requiring no subsequent annealing; this results in a streamlined production process and minimal performance variation between batches. For standard aluminum sheet thicknesses ranging from 0.2 mm to 6.0 mm, key mechanical parameters remain consistently within defined ranges: a tensile strength of 105–145 MPa, a 0.2% offset yield strength (proof stress) of ≥85 MPa, an elongation after fracture of ≥12%, and a Brinell hardness of approximately 34 HB. Compared to the O-temper (soft/annealed) temper, 1050 h14 aluminum offers over 40% greater dent resistance, making the finished components less susceptible to deformation from accidental impact. Compared to the H18 (full-hard) temper, h14 temper retains sufficient plasticity to allow for 90° cold bending in a single pass without cracking along the bend line. In terms of dimensional precision, thickness tolerances for standard thin aluminum sheets are maintained within ±0.04 mm, with a surface flatness of ≤0.3 mm/m. The surface is free from visible defects such as roll marks or scratches, allowing the material to proceed directly to further processing stages.

The superior physical properties of 1050 h14 aluminum sheet enable its use across a wide range of applications. With an electrical conductivity of approximately 57%–61% IACS at room temperature and a thermal conductivity of 220–230 W/(m·K), it ranks among the top tier of pure aluminum grades. Furthermore, it exhibits excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, is non-toxic, and is non-magnetic. Given these characteristics, 1050 h24 aluminum sheet is primarily utilized in three key sectors: in architectural decoration for brushed panels, signage, elevator interiors, and curtain wall backing panels—offering a refined metallic texture after surface treatment; in electronics and electrical engineering for LED heat-dissipation substrates, conductive gaskets, and equipment shielding, providing lightweight performance alongside stable thermal and electrical conductivity; and in hardware and chemical applications for shallow-stamped parts, food packaging containers, and anti-corrosive linings, benefiting from its good formability and resistance to chemical media.

Haomei Aluminum offers 1050 H14 aluminum sheets in a full thickness range from 0.2mm to 6.0mm, with widths available from 100mm to 2000mm (custom slitting provided). We also offer value-added services such as cut-to-length processing, surface PE protective film application, and pre-treatment (brushing).
