5052-H26 aluminum coil is a premium product in the aluminum-magnesium rust-proof system, balancing high strength and cold formability. Unlike the mainstream O-temper and H14/H24 semi-hardening products, this temper is positioned at a 3/4 hardening level. Through a combination of “cold rolling work hardening + low-temperature stabilization annealing,” it achieves a precise balance between strength and stamping formability while retaining the corrosion resistance of rust-proof aluminum. It is a cost-effective alternative to ordinary aluminum sheets and a high-performance option for improving component durability in automotive parts, precision sheet metal, and industrial enclosures.

The essence of the H26 temper process lies in its performance balance, which is its unique advantage over similar hardness products. This temper first achieves the 3/4 hardening level deformation through controlled cold rolling, followed by low-temperature short-time stabilization annealing. This retains the strength improvement from work hardening while eliminating some rolling stress and improving material plasticity. Compared to the work-hardened H16 alloy of the same hardness, 5052-H26 aluminum coil exhibits approximately 20% higher elongation, reduces springback by over 15%, and demonstrates superior dimensional stability after forming, minimizing stress cracking. Compared to the 5052 aluminum coil with conventional semi-hard H24 alloy, its yield strength is increased by about 30%, significantly enhancing its resistance to dents and deformation, perfectly suited for intermediate working conditions requiring both structural strength and complex bending and stamping.
Precise alloy composition and standardized production ensure stable product performance and controllable data. As a typical aluminum-magnesium rust-resistant alloy, 5052’s magnesium content is strictly controlled between 2.2% and 2.8%, combined with 0.15% to 0.35% chromium to refine the grain structure, naturally possessing excellent resistance to atmospheric and salt spray corrosion, with no risk of stress corrosion cracking. Taking the commonly used 0.8mm~2.0mm thickness specifications as an example, the tensile strength of the product in H26 condition is stable at 240MPa~300MPa, the specified non-proportional elongation strength is ≥195MPa, the elongation after fracture is ≥7%, and the Brinell hardness is maintained in the range of 75~90HB. Dimensional accuracy strictly follows the ASTM B209 international standard, with a 1.0mm thickness tolerance controlled within ±0.04mm, a flatness deviation ≤2I, and a surface free of roller marks, scratches, and oxide spots, allowing direct integration into automated stamping production lines.
Our 5052-H26 aluminum coils cover thicknesses from 0.3mm to 4.0mm, widths can be slit as needed within the range of 100mm~1600mm, and the maximum weight of a single coil can reach 8 tons. Customized delivery of large and small coils is supported, and it is compatible with uncoiling equipment of different tonnages. With its balanced performance, this product has clearly defined application areas:
In the automotive manufacturing industry, it is widely used for fuel tanks, fuel line housings, and interior sheet metal parts, offering resistance to vibration fatigue and high molding yield.
In industrial equipment, it is suitable for fan housings, electrical control cabinet shells, and refrigeration equipment liners, providing rust resistance and durability without additional surface treatment.
In the construction industry, it can be directly roll-pressed into roofing and wall panels, offering superior wind load resistance compared to ordinary H14 sheets.
In the hardware and home appliance industry, it is used for complex stretching of kitchen utensils and hardware accessories, resulting in better dimensional consistency of finished products.
Unlike some manufacturers in the market who artificially increase deformation to achieve higher hardness, our 5052-H26 aluminum coil strictly adheres to standard annealing processes. Each batch undergoes dual verification through mechanical properties and cupping tests to ensure stable batch performance and consistent molding characteristics, preventing batch cracking and excessive springback issues during customer stamping production. Our products are packaged with moisture-proof film and upright wooden pallets, suitable for ocean shipping. We can provide a complete set of export documents, including material certificates, RoHS test reports, and certificates of origin. Custom processing such as fixed-length cutting and narrow strip slitting is supported. We offer a stable and reliable one-stop supply solution for medium-hardness rust-resistant aluminum coils to overseas stamping and sheet metal customers.
